MPACT Pure Air Compression Technologies
The MPACT provides a continuous on-board supply of high-pressure pure air, which eliminates gas storage bottles and/or pyrotechnic cartridge actuated devices, improves logistics safety issues, enables unlimited mission duration and profile, improves system performance, reliability and repeatability, and provides lower life-cycle costs.
Marotta’s MPACT was selected by NAVAIR for IR Missile Seeker Cooling on the F-18 Hornet, and The Boeing Company for pneumatic weapon ejection on its new P8-A Poseidon aircraft.

Small Diameter Bomb Program
A key component of the Small Diameter Bomb pneumatic weapon ejection carriage, Marotta has designed, developed, qualified and manufactured large quantities of valve/accumulator systems to power the next generation non-pyrotechnic ejection racks. Unlike previous pyrotechnic racks, these new racks use clean, high-pressure air to jettison a weapon or external fuel tank.

HiFAST Program
Located within an aircraft weapons bay, HiFAST is a spoiler that can be extended into the air stream from a retracted position. It contains nozzles that inject the air stream with pulses of high-pressure air to counter instability generated by opening a weapons bay door.
Marotta has contributed valves that control the supply of high-pressure air to the spoiler, helping to create a perpendicular air flow that reduces acoustic levels in the bay and enhances proper weapons separation.
