Marotta has developed magnetically latching, miniature valves designed for applications where power is limited or coil heating is undesirable. This series can also be used in areas where continous power may not be available. The 2-way, 2-position valve shuttles to the open or closed position by switching current polarity.
Because the valve requies only a brief pulse of current (100 msec max) when switching polarity, it consumes a small amount (<10 wattd peak) of power. The valve remains in the most recently commanded position when power is not supplied. Handles pressure ranges from 0-2,000 psig.
Composed of stainless steel, all welded construction and a plastic seat, the Marotta Miniature Magnetic Latching Valves meet the demands for high reliability (10,000 cycles minimum) tight leakage, (External 1x10 -6secs GHe, Internal 1x10-4secs GHe) and quick response (<10 msec).
