Flo-Fit Eliminates Pipe Alignment Problems

Marotta's Flo-Fit is a patented fitting that eliminates pipe alignment problems, reduces stress and provides a leak-free assembly unaffected by shock, vibration or thermal distortion. The aligning stud of the Flo-Fit pivots freely and smoothly over the highly polished ball socket allowing 3 1/2  degree swing from center.

This misalignment feature of the Flo-Fit "forgives" cutting and welding assembly errors.  The feature also reduces pipe stress caused by distortion in complete assemblies and permits the easy removal of components/pipe sections.  This unique design has two seals - both the same size - located close to the internal diameter of the pipe, minimizing pressure separation forces.  Only a low sealing torque is required.  (Sealing torque depends on pipe size and line pressure.)

MARGIN FOR MISALIGNMENT: Tangent of angle times pipe length equals inches of misalignment from center; i.e. misalignment in 10 feet of pipe approximately 7 inches from center.
