Automatic Fire Suppression Systems (AFES)

Millisecond Operation for Enhanced Survivability
Our automatic fire suppression system is specifically designed for military combat vehicles, to enhance survivability against fires caused by IEDs and penetrating munitions. The system can disperse aqueous-based or gas suppressants in less than 10 milliseconds.

Fire-Suppression for Crew or EngineWhen using the Firebane™ aqueous-based suppressant, the crew members have the added benefit of Firebane's fast-acting super-cooling properties, which return the burning materials to ambient temperature in seconds. Firebane has been recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an approved alternative to Halon and has been added to their list of alternative products under their Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program. |
Combat Proven Fire Suppression Technology
For decades, our heritage fire suppression valve and bottle dispersing system has been saving lives on the Abrams, Bradley Fighting Vehicle and M113, as well as Australian, Saudi and South Korean armored military vehicles. Over 70,000 units of this heritage fire suppression system (using the agent Halon) have been produced.
Today, we are proud to offer this combat-tested fire suppression dispersment system featuring non-toxic and eco-friendly aqueous-based or gas-based fire suppressants.
Suppresses All Types of Fire
This system is capable of suppressing all possible types of fies, large or small, including tire fires which are extremely difficult to extinguish.
Aqueous-Based Fire Suppressant
Developed to enhance survivability and protect crews, our fire suppression system offers the suppressant Firebane™, the first and only aqueous-based agent to be certified to UL standards for Class A, B and D fires, suppressing fire faster than any other product on the market. Completely green, environmentally safe and non-toxic, Firebane is the only liquid Class D certified, readily biodegradable agent in the world.
