Composite Valves for Naval Vessels
Marotta introduces a new range of lightweight Composite In-Line Valves. Manufactured
from a proprietary composite material, these new valves eliminate the
effects of the harsh seawater environment and weigh just one-third of
their metal counterparts.
The Composite Valves can operate in a wide variety of naval systems,
from a ship’s firefighting and damage control to chilled water
and vessel fuel supply lines.
Benefits of Composite
Marotta’s Composite Valves can withstand shock,
vibration and heavy use as well as their metal counterparts. Significantly,
the composite material has superior corrosion resistant characteristics
and is fire retardant. This new material virtually extends the
service life of the valve for nearly as long as the ship itself.
“Intelligent Composite”
Marotta has combined its Composite In-Line Valves with Digital Controllers
that can act autonomously or execute commands from a remote host.
