APPLICATIONS
|
The motorized in-line valve offers high flow rates in a small envelope. The balanced poppet allows the use of a low-powered electro-mechanical actuator.

OPERATING
DESCRIPTION
|
In
the closed position, the moveable seat is
retracted fully and presses against the
stationary poppet. Line pressure is allowed to
pressurize both sides of the seat retainer,
balancing the axial forces on this moving part
(Figure 1).
With power applied (Figure 2), the motor drive
train moves the seat retainer away from the
stationary poppet, allowing flow through four
symmetrical holes in the poppet and past the
seat. Very little power is required to open,
modulate and close the valve due to the balanced
forces acting on both sides of the seat
retainer. |
