APPLICATIONS
The MV286 series valves were developed to provide reliable control for air conditioning chilled water systems.  This innovative design features a durable one-piece polypropylene poppet.  This provides improved performance, long-term reliability, and ease of maintenance.  A manual override is provided in case of a power failure.  The valves meet the 2-way chilled water valve requirements of MIL-R-16743.  Also, they are supplied with the MIL-F-1183 sil brazed union ends for quick installation.  Units are also suitable for hydraulic fluids and light oils operating up to 400 psig.

OPERATING DESCRIPTION

Energizing the pilot valve or opening the manual override vents the holding pressure through the main poppet, causing a pressure imbalance that forces the valve open.

De-energizing the pilot valve or closing the override during manual operation blocks flow through the main poppet, forcing the valve closed.
